Dean of the Faculties
Welcome to the website of the Faculty of Energy Engineering, Sharif University of Technology
The Faculty of Energy Engineering is Sharif University of Technology's first experience in creating a multidisciplinary engineering faculty at the graduate level. It was launched in 2007 and has continued its activities in a new building since the
beginning of 2009
This faculty was formed by merging two disciplines: Nuclear Engineering (with a history of over 30 years) and Energy Systems Engineering (with a history of over 20 years), which were previously active in the University's Faculty of Mechanical Engineering
the overall goal of developing quality human capital for the country's energy sector (through training a new generation of researchers and specialists and effective participation in the development and application of energy engineering knowledge in improving the efficiency and productivity of the country's energy sector
The faculty also provides cutting-edge education and research in the fields of peaceful nuclear energy technologies, the use of radiation and radioisotopes in industry and medicine, radiation protection, and the environmental effects of radiation. The Faculty of Energy Engineering has been and continues to be a pioneer and role model for the development of this field nationwide
This faculty, by providing appropriate educational and research infrastructure and facilities, including renewable energy laboratories, energy auditing, energy and environment, application of radiation and radioisotopes, focal plasma, and reactor simulator, is one of the leading educational and research centers in the field of energy engineering in the country.
Maintaining the academic quality and credibility of academic disciplines and degrees, effectively using collective wisdom in planning and managing the faculty's affairs, maintaining and promoting order and discipline in all activities, honesty, trustworthiness, and adherence to professional and academic ethics constitute the fundamental values of the faculty
I invite you to explore the website and visit the faculty's facilities to gain more complete information about the faculty's educational and research activities
